We are pleased to finally be able to announce delivery of the Covid Vaccine which will allow Abbey Medical Practice to deliver this service to our patients, we apologise we have been unable to give this notice earlier, vaccine delivery dates come at very short notice.   We will commence on Saturday 16th January and due to the complexity of the vaccine, we need to deliver this as a group of practices working together from a vaccination base at the Lincolnshire Showground.   

NHS England have given us strict guidelines for cohorts and priority groups so…..


Practices are working really hard to both deliver this and continue primary care services so please be patient.   The first cohort is Care Homes, staff and patients over 80. 

Then working through the age groups 75 to 80, 70 to 75 etc.

However, even within those cohorts priority order depends on health needs also.

Imp healthcare practices are excited to be involved in this national programme and working very hard to get this up and running and protect our patients as soon as possible.     

Vaccine delivery dates are determined by NHS England and we have to work to their schedule so please understand this and be patient.

Requests can be made from 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 6.30pm on a Friday

Requests received after 3pm will be responded to on the next WORKING day 

Please use SystemOnline to make requests for medication or telephone the practice - using Option 2

During office hours the requests are reviewed by our team and if they are thought to be urgent, you will be contacted within a few hours with a response, this may be from the GP, Nurse or Reception with further advice/information.   If you are asked to come into the practice for a face to face appointment – please wear a face covering.

All other routine requests will be dealt with on the next working day.

If you have requested a phone call, please note this will NOT show as Abbey Medical Practice on your phone.   It will say PRIVATE or With Held number.      

We will try to call you back twice and if you do not answer the second call, we will close the request and you will need to re-submit.

If you have requested a response by email, please look out for this within your AskMyGP account, NOT within your email inbox.

All our registered patients are welcome, and as a parent or carer you can use AskMyGP on behalf of a patient

Please ensure that home visits are requested before 10:30am
